A residential front load commercial vehicle operator starts their day between 5:00 am and 6:00 am with a safety meeting, pre-trip inspection and a meeting with your route supervisor and loaders. The operator then leaves our yard and drives to the assigned municipality, follows a pre-determined route and picks up the curbside trash with the arm of the vehicle or by loader. Depending on load size a trip to a landfill may be necessary during the day or upon completion of the route. When the route is complete you will return to the yard, submit any necessary paperwork to your team leader and call it a day.
