Hiring Requirements

Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (L,Z) Air Brakes, (G) Night Driving, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only
12 months Tractor Trailer experience

Pay & Miles

$1,200 - $2,200 total weekly
2,000 - 3,500 miles per week

Home Time

2 days off for every 5 days worked
5 expected days out
You can stay out longer if you want to
Home every weekend

Freight Handling

100% live load / unload

Carrier and Truck Information

Fleet size: 5 trucks
Semi-trucks are not governed
Mostly automatic semi-trucks

About the job

Our drivers go out on Monday typically and come home Friday typically. We only haul dry van semi loads in Midwest America. No East or West coast. We pay our drivers 30% of the load pay and any accessory pay. There is no funny accounting as drivers are given Rate Cons when dispatched. We are a small, but growing company. What we lack in benefits right now we make up in pay. Our drivers average 70 cpm if they were paid by the miles run. We are a professional, but family oriented company and do our best to stay drama free. We invite you to come on the ground floor and help Tortano Express grow.

Tortano Express, LLC started October 03, 2019 with myself as an Owner/Operator. We are based in Des Moines, IA and currently have 5 trucks and 3 awesome drivers who we are grateful for as they make up the heart of soul of our company. As a former Truck driver, I understand the rigors of the road and the toll on the family and the need for our Professional drivers to be home with their families as much as possible. The true value of our company will always be in the hands of our Professional drivers. We have a real family atmosphere and drama free. We do our best to make the job experience as pleasant and enjoyable as possible where everyone is treated as family and with respect at all times. As a young company we have lots of growing to do and invite you to come along side as we grow.
