A typical day starts by receiving your load information from dispatch and heading to the shipper for pickup. Once there, you will check in, wait for the load to be ready, receive and verify all required paperwork, secure the load as needed.
You will then safely drive to the assigned destination while maintaining communication with dispatch and following DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements. Upon arrival, you will check in with the receiver, back into the assigned dock, wait for unloading, verify and sign all required delivery paperwork, and submit the completed documents to dispatch.
Drivers are expected to keep their truck organized, perform required inspections, communicate professionally, and ensure each load is picked up and delivered safely and on time.
