Three brothers, Steve, Joe, & Tom, worked after school and during summers for Harry and Mary Jo Helsel, stocking shelves, picking orders, and making truck deliveries. After graduating, the brothers stayed in ‘the business’, calling on customers and visiting stores, and eventually borrowed money from Dale National Bank and bought the business from the Helsel’s when they retired, forming McAneny Brothers, Inc in 1979. Steve, Tom, and Joe learned the business from the bottom up, implementing their values and strong commitment to quality. Continuing the core values of the family business, a new generation of McAneny’s has now permeated the company, maintaining the shared traditions learned from their early exposure to the industry.
